So many comebacks, so many drops across the Asia Pacific pop world so far this July!

Here are a few songs that we are absolutely LOVING!

RESCENE- ‘Pretty Girl’

This K-Pop girl group has everybody talking, especially with their super fun comeback stage on Mnet a few days! Rescene’s latest single ‘Pretty Girl’, a remake of the Kara single, has a fun cutesy vibe that is just so perfect for the Summer (well, the Summer vibe if you are like us in Australia). Capturing the original feel while giving it a modern refresh, this one has been on constant repeat in the Fan Gal office. And honestly, their fits are just ADORABLE!

Psychic Fever- ‘If You’re Mine’

The Japanese boy band that had TikTok in a spin with their banger ‘Just Like Dat’ back in 2024 has returned with their 2nd album, Different. The lead single ‘If You’re Mine’ has that same bouncy beat that captured our attention when they burst on the scene. Smooth vocals with even smoother dance moves- you can’t help but bop along.

THX- ‘Ape’

Now don’t be sleeping on T-Pop, because THX from Thailand are making moves. This song is definitely an interesting one, and it took a few listens, but it became super stuck in our heads. The beat is undeniable, and it has some super interesting instrumentation, particularly with the drums. Ultimately though it is a fun one and another way Thai acts are making their mark on the music scene.

MEOVV- ‘In My Hands’

We cannot get past MEOVV, and this track is a certified bop. It has that late-mid 00’s pop vibe sonically and an early 2000s aesthetic in the MV that, again, shows that the theme of this Summer is nostalgia. One of the standout tracks on the group’s latest album, and we cannot help but think this is just another addition to producer Teddy Park‘s legacy of leading the sound of K-Pop year in, year out.

Keyveatz- ‘Oxy’

This month AOMG debuted their first girl group. Meet Keyveatz. They introduced us to their sound with their fun EDM-infused single ‘Oxy’, the lead track of their debut EP OXY_GEN. Currently, K-Pop girl groups are very strong in both presence and sound, but Keyveatz are bringing a little freshness. A little bit of BLACKPINK with that signature AOMG attitude, this EP is definitely one to give a spin, especially when you are driving around.

Judging from this list, the sounds of the Summer (or winter if you are in the Southern Hemisphere like some of us) is nostalgia, with the girl groups at the forefront- but we are still aren’t even half way through July so it will be interesting to see what comes out soon!
