While we are over here in Australia rugging up, the Northern Hemisphere is off having their hot girl Summer. The days might be starting to get a little warmer, but in case you are still feeling the chill- here are some K-Pop/K-Hiphop Releases to make you feel like you are experiencing Waterbomb Festival weather.

Hyolyn- ‘ChecK’

There is a reason Hyolyn has been dubbed K-Pop’s “Queen Of Summer”, and she keeps her crown with ‘Check’. Reminiscent of some mid-00s pop classics, this song has been all over the Fan Gal Channel algorithms and we simply cannot get enough. It’s giving Beyonce/Destiny’s Child, Christina Milan, Mya…you know the vibe! It is the ultimate 2026 hot girl Summer anthem and we will be still dancing to it when it finally reaches Summer Down Under.

Soyeon- ‘Star’

Fresh off I-DLE’s absolute dynamite performance at Lollapalooza, leader Soyeon has dropped a surprise heater on us. ‘Star’ has that thumping beat that is perfect for the clubs after you spent the day hanging at the beach clubs (*sighs in South Australian*). There is a real nostalgia vibe in these Summer sounds, with ‘Star’ throwing us back to the era of artists like Kesha, Cobra Starship, etc. Now while most of the big music media might be sleeping on I-DLE, we aren’t and this track has us hot and bothered for all the right reasons.

Dayoung feat. Jay Park- ‘Flirty’

Speaking of hot and bothered, these two set tongues wagging before dropping the collab of the season. ‘Flirty’ sonically is just like the title. It has a tantalising beat and sweet groove, making it perfect for the dance floor. Dayoung and Jay Park‘s voices complement each other exceptionally in this pop/r&b infused duet. Oh and no, as convincing as the promo pictures were- Jay Park has been quick to deny any dating rumours but we can suspend the disbelief to enjoy this short and sweet track.

WONHO- ‘Don’t Wake Me Up’

Okay, this isn’t exactly a ‘Summer vibe’ type track BUT if your goal is to warm up, then blast ‘Don’t Wake Me Up‘ as loud as possible. We will call it like it is…a certified banger. If that doesn’t get you moving, then there isn’t really much we can do for you. With huge europop influences and EDM beats infused throughout, you cannot get much hotter than this release from our favourite K-pop muscle man.

Tiger JK & Yoon Mi Rae

The King and Queen of Korean Hiphop delivered a stellar performance at Waterbomb Sokcho this weekend but for those who missed it, we can sit back and enjoy their new single ‘Let Me Love You‘. Drenched in that wholesome Summer love feel, the KHH power couple know exactly how to hit us in the feels. With a music video that truly captures that cutesy, nostalgic scenario, once again Tiger JK & Yoon Mi Rae shows exactly why they are some of the most revered names in the scene.
