What is the Fan Gal Channel?

It is a music space for fan girls. When we say fan girls, we mean it in the most gender neutral way.

Anybody can be a fan gal in our space.

Basically, we believe that fandom plays a huge role in the culture, identity and development of communities around music. Whether that be fanbases, subcultures or just overall ways to engage with different forms of music.

From the Bangya in Visual Kei to pushing mass music movements like K-Pop…even The Beatles can trace success back to the fan girl led hype.

We wanted to create a space to talk about things we love but also our experiences in engaging with fan spaces.

We also wanted to provide a space for people to learn about what it is like to be part of the music industry, to discover new music and just everything in between.

Also, we want to help people develop a healthier relationship with being a fan. Recognising signs of dangerous behaviour etc.

Here you will find music news, stories, deep dives, reviews and well, sometimes, things don’t fit in the regular music media space…so we wanted to put it somewhere for the other fans to find it.
